Charlie meets Santa!

I have to admit, I was really not sure how this was going to go. I just imagined me handing Charlie over to Santa and him just losing it. Surprisingly, that didn't happen! He actually was really laid back about the whole thing. And, I have to say, our Santa was fantastic! He was really gentle with Charlie and while Grandma Betty and I looked at the photos, Santa sang to him. It was truly sweet to see! I'm sure this will go VERY differently next Christmas but for now I'll focus on how wonderful this experience was!

Charlie's first trip to the beach.

One of the upsides to living in Los Angeles is our proximity to the beach. While we can't just pick up and walk their on our own, we can get their by car within 10 minutes.

I grew up in Florida and spent quite a bit of time at the beach as a child. I can't even begin to explain how much it means to me for Charlie to have that same opportunity! When he gets old enough, he's going to have such a blast at the beach. Sandcastles, boogie boarding... We're going to make a lot of wonderful memories here!

The Youngs have landed!

Well, here we are. We have uprooted ourselves from the familiarity of Boulder and landed in the city of Los Angeles. It's going to be quite a change for us, that is for sure. BUT who doesn't like a little adventure? Andy is going to UCLA to get his Masters in Film Studies and Charlie and I have a whole new city to explore! Who knows what the future brings but one thing I know for sure is that we will be together!
